Yet another disappointment?
What do all those disappointments actually mean as a child of God.
Those disappointments you feel or experience are really not disappointments. They are things that were divinely delayed by God so that you don’t run too fast.
It is God taking you by the hand and leading you a step at a time. As long as you are seeking His kingdom with all of your heart and doing His will. There is nothing like a disappointment.
“You can never be disadvantaged.”
I’m going to go a little personal right now. I had an experience where I was down emotionally because I felt I wasn’t performing at my best.
Looking back, I see that all those times that I didn’t meet up with my daily quota of scriptures were also divinely orchestrated. I discovered that when the Lord was trying to show me something or bring me into a season, that was when I got to read those scriptures and things became more apparent and I was blown away.
I equally saw that those times I had hopes of getting that job and it didn’t come at that particular time wasn’t God withholding anything from me? He doesn’t withhold anything good thing from his children He withholds for his children because He is a good father.
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11 NIV
I discovered that it was God saying Genevieve, it’s not time, this is what I want you to learn so that when the job comes you are ready for it. God was trying to take me through the process, through the refining stage. So that when that job lands I will be ready to take on the challenges that come with it. All for my own good guys.
Yeah, you may feel down or disappointed, it’s normal for us as humans but God doesn’t want you feeling that way. He wants you to live above that. Your feelings are always deceptive remember. The word of God is true despite the season and the time.
As for me, I won’t trust my feelings, I will trust the Word of God which says-
His plans for me are those of good and not of evil to bring me to an expected end Jeremiah 11:19
That all things walk together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
So I tell you today, just relax and let God lead you. I encourage you to read books on faith.
I think wasn’t able to exhaust this topic because there are many other scenarios and reasons why we feel disappointed when certain things happen. But the candid advice I’ll give which I believe solves everything is that you should trust God all the way and through the process. Just do your daily quota or living and work and leave the rest for God. This is why you need Christ in your life, to help you organize it.
If you have the slightest desire to meet Jesus Christ and make Him Lord over your life, say this prayer aloud;
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending your Son, Jesus to atone for my sins, by shedding His blood through death on the cross. Today, I receive and confess Jesus as my personal, Lord and Saviour. I receive forgiveness and the gift of righteousness by my faith in Him. Thank You Father as I can now declare that I am born again in the name of Jesus. Amen!
