Let God Lead You!

You can’t dictate God: It’s not how you want it, but how He wants it.

It’s funny how we want certain things from God, we want Him to take charge of our lives, direct and lead us yet we are still holding on to the steering wheel of our lives.

God is a Mystery, He’s supernatural and His ways are not like those of men neither are His thoughts like ours. As far as the heavens are above the earth, that’s how his wisdom is far above ours.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV

So, there’s absolutely no way you would want Him to do things your way. Absolutely NO WAY!

If you want God to lead you, let him do that in his way. Though you can strategize, let Him lead you.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Most times we plan or condition our minds in such a way that if God doesn’t talk to me this way, then he hasn’t said anything to me at all, or if God doesn’t answer my prayer this way, then it’s not been answered.

If I don’t cry while worshipping, then the Holy Spirit isn’t present with me or if I don’t feel a certain kind of way then God wasn’t there or in it.

No brethren, no you can’t predict or program God because He is God. You can’t tell Him how to answer your prayers or when He should. He doesn’t have to fit into your script, you are the one to fit into His script and schedule.

He is the ancient of days, ancient Zion’s king. He who was there before time began, He who existed before anything at all was created.

That’s the God we are talking about. The all-knowing God who knows HOW best and WHEN to come through for His children.

So how can you say your prayers haven’t been answered when you don’t lack any good thing, when you study the Bible God reveals himself to you and you are transformed into a new man. How can you say your prayers are not answered when every day, you are favoured or blessed by people? How can you say He doesn’t hear you? Learn to see God in the tiniest details of your life.

He is a good father, and He is always working behind the scenes for you and fixing up certain things in your life or paving the way for you before He lets you step into it. Stop doubting Him.

I came across a video of a Reverend who during a ministration said.

“I asked for strength and God gave me difficulties to make me strong, I asked for wisdom and God gave me problems to solve, I asked for courage, and He gave me dangers to overcome then I asked for love and God gave me troubled people to help. My prayers were answered.”

This shows us that God may not answer us in the way we expect but in His own way. That man’s prayers were indeed answered because there’s no way he would have solved all the problems he encountered if he hadn’t received the wisdom to solve them from God.

Would you let Him lead you? All you need to do is stay connected, that’s all and there’s no way you’ll miss it.
